Pamela J. Hinman
Pamela Hinman is an associate with the Employment and Labour Group, and practices in all areas of employment and labour law. Prior to joining Cassels Brock, Pam articled and practiced at a leading management-side labour and employment law boutique.
Pam is experienced in employment, labour, and human rights litigation, and has particular experience with written advocacy. She has provided strategic advice in respect of employee and labour relations, human rights, employment standards, workplace privacy, workplace safety and insurance, and occupational health and safety. Pam has appeared on behalf of private and public sector employers at grievance and interest arbitrations, mediations, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and the Ontario Court of Justice.
Pam received her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she specialized in labour and employment law. During her time at Osgoode, Pam received numerous academic awards including the Labour, Employment and Administrative Law Prize, and the Cassels Brock & Blackwell Prize for Ethical Lawyering in a Global Community. She also achieved the highest course standing in Labour Arbitration and Occupational Health and Safety.
Pam is also a professional violinist. Prior to entering law school, Pam attended the University of Calgary where she was awarded a Bachelor of Music, Honours with Distinction, and the University of Toronto where she attained her Master of Music in Violin Performance. Pam has performed regularly with a number of Canadian orchestras, including the Canadian Opera Company orchestra.
